My name is Mike Curley. I am an aspiring mechanical engineer and entrepreneur. I grew up in a small town called Ringwood in Northern New Jersey. However, I currently live in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania while I complete my Master’s degree at Lehigh University. I love developing innovative products as well as creating compelling web and print designs.
Lehigh University – B.S. Mechanical Engineering (2014)
While earning my degree, I took a wide variety of technical electives covering topics such as Finite Element Analysis, Basic Aerodynamics, Advanced Theories of Mechanics, and Centrifugal & Reciprocating Engines. I stepped beyond the realm of engineering as I took a series of graphic design courses to continue and substantiate my interest in graphic arts and visual design. With a GPA of 3.77, I earned Lehigh’s prestigious Presidential Scholarship. This presented me with an opportunity to further my education, an offer I could not refuse.
Lehigh University – M.Eng. Technical Entrepreneurship (2015)
I subsequently enrolled in Lehigh’s new program entitled Technical Entrepreneurship. I entered with the goal of expanding my skills to include those of building and growing a business, but I never expected to learn and do so much in such a short time. I learned about a huge range of topics related to starting a new venture, but more importantly I gained a professional network of mentors and innovation-oriented peers that I feel comfortable would help me in almost any situation I can imagine.
